It was a pleasant surprise for Cal - an early 56th birthday present. No, not the plane!!!! It was a flight to look over the house he has spent so much time on - but from a different view, as well he took in the farm he grew up on. Such fun, for him at least...Chris took sick within 15 min. from the turns etc. It was still fun to see it all.The picture on the left shows our new house (right in the middle - it looks all black), our little house at the bottom by the road and the squash court up to the right. Things sure look different from up there.

While we wait for inspection we paint trim, and do little things that have been put on hold.

Couldn't resist posting this little gem. Madeline is a spunky little one - reminds us of her auntie Lori!!!

Amazing how it can all come together and look so neat. We are waiting inspection - MONDAY! This is one of the biggest hurdles to get over...from here on it will be insulation and then drywall...so moving day is looming ever closer!!!!

This is just part of the 'rats nest' that came to the electrical panel. I love to untangle things but this one was one I was more than willing to stay clear of.

The tarpaper is finished and what a great job. We will be putting a hardiplank siding on the whole house. Debated about stone, rock, brick and all those other treatments but always came back to siding.

The last of our three children visited us in august. Aaron/Ang/Max and Madeline. What a blast. Aaron had not been here for 2 years, due to planting and then going to the RCMP training...so our building project what quite a site and we thoroughly enjoyed showing them. Madeline is a little go-getter that doesn't stop - the energizer bunny...and Max continues to LOVE the swing. As always a great time with family.

Chris's brother Ward and his son Brody came and helped out for a couple of days and tarpapered the house. Such a wonderfully, big help.

FINALLY, we have started the electrical. Most boxes and these potlights show something is happening!
